The teacher
Kassymzhomart Shubay grew up in Taraz, studied at Nazarbayev Intellectual School and took the SAT eight times before scoring 1560 — Math 800 and Reading & Writing 760. He now studies at Nazarbayev University. In 2025 he won 1st place at the SmartestPrep SAT olympiad. He teaches every K4SAT lesson himself and reviews every student's mistakes personally.

FAQ
How much does the K4SAT SAT course cost?
One subject (Math or Reading & Writing) is 80,000 ₸ a month for 16 teaching hours. Both subjects are 160,000 ₸ a month for 32 hours. Either way that is 5,000 ₸ per hour of live lesson in a group of at most four students.
Who teaches the classes?
Kassymzhomart Shubay — SAT 1560 (Math 800, Reading & Writing 760), 1st place at the SmartestPrep SAT olympiad 2025, IELTS Speaking 8.0. A graduate of Nazarbayev Intellectual School, now a student at Nazarbayev University. He teaches every lesson himself — no substitute teachers or mentors.
How many students are in a group?
No more than four. In every lesson the teacher goes through each student's work.
Are the classes online? Can I join from outside Astana?
Yes. Lessons are online, so the city does not matter — Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Karaganda or anywhere else. One schedule, on Astana time.
Can I leave the course and get a refund?
Yes, at any time. Under clause 10 of the contract you get back what you paid minus 5,000 ₸ for each hour already taught; before the start, 100%. Refunds are paid within 10 working days.
When is the next SAT in Kazakhstan and how much does it cost?
Dec 5, 2026; register on the College Board site by Nov 20, 2026. Registration is $111 — the $68 test fee plus the $43 international fee everyone outside the US pays.
What SAT score does Nazarbayev University require?
At least 1240 for undergraduate admission and 1140 for the Foundation Year (international applicants only), plus IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 60. Only the digital SAT counts, there is no superscoring, and a score is valid for 2 years.
